Terms of Use

Last updated: October 7, 2026. These terms are between you and Wise Prince LLC, a California limited liability company, operating Gift.tax ("Gift.tax"). By using Gift.tax you agree to these terms.

1. What the service is

Gift.tax offers educational information about US federal gift tax, a free check that performs annual-exclusion arithmetic for a simple cash gift, and tools to organize gift records. “AI reviewed” means an answer passed two automated checks for IRS-source accuracy and safety/scope; it does not mean professional review or individualized advice.

2. What it is not

  • Not tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice, and no professional relationship is created.
  • Gift.tax does not prepare or file Form 709 or any return.
  • No guarantee of any tax outcome, filing requirement, or amount owed. Gift.tax does not determine your remaining lifetime exclusion or tax liability.

3. AI and voice

AI features can make mistakes. Voice conversations are processed by a third-party provider only when you start one. The text guide uses an AI model to pick from IRS-sourced explanations; it can still make mistakes. You are responsible for how you use AI-generated output and for verifying it before acting on it. Do not use the AI features to generate unlawful, deceptive, or harmful content, to attempt to bypass safety measures, or to infringe others' rights. We may filter outputs, remove content, or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

4. Your account and content

You're responsible for the information you enter and for keeping your sign-in secure. Don't enter information you aren't permitted to share. You keep ownership of your content; you allow Gift.tax to store and process it to provide the service.

5. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service, attempt to access others' data, overload it, probe or scrape it, introduce malware, infringe intellectual property, or use it for unlawful purposes, fraud, or spam.

6. Paid plans, payments and refunds

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, renewal and cancellation are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms.

7. Professional introductions

Any introductions will be made only with your permission, and any commercial relationship will be disclosed. You're free to work with your own advisors.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wise Prince LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wise Prince LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law does not allow it.

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious violations of these terms.

9. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or the service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, both sides agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting the other in writing and allowing at least 30 days to respond.
